Mike Evans:Lead Pastor

Mike and his wife Jill, married in the front yard of Jill’s parents’ farm home outside of Lenox, IA on July 19, 1975.  Their children are Zac born        9-14-76 and his wife Melissa, of Woodbury, MN.;  Jasmine, born 11-17-78, died 4-28-79 of cystic fybrosis; and Moriah, born 3-3-98, adopted at birth.  While working as a livestock feed salesman a Christian customer shared the gospel of Christ.  This began a season of wrestling with God.  In 1979 a tornado destroyed the Evans’ home and a month later their daughter Jasmine died of cystic fybrosis.  At her graveside Mike came to faith in Jesus Christ.  A year later Mike & Jill got involved in a church plant which led to their move to Chicago and training at Moody Bible Institute & Moody Graduate School.  Mike was teaching church planters in Eastern Europe when God nudged him to plant a church in a rural community.  Jill and Mike researched 11 communities in WI and the UP of Michigan before determining God was pointing them toward New Richmond.  At the invitation of the FCC Hudson Elders, the Evans’ moved to New Richmond in July of 1996.  Mike states, “I believe my predominant gift is faith, with some leadership and teaching.  I love to ask God what He is going to do because I believe He loves to show me.  I believe the ministry at FCC fits my gift mix well.  He has affirmed my leadership through godly people around me.  I have a passion to see this church become a high-impact, reproducing church until Christ returns." Bob Sievert: Executive Pastor

Bob began working for Faith Community Church on a part-time basis in August of 2003 following his retirement from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls where he served for 35 years as Director of Student Life Operations. Bob serves as Executive Pastor providing direction in areas such as finance and facilities.
Bob and his wife Debbie were married in Northern Wisconsin in June of 1972 and have five adult children.  Seven years into their marriage Bob came into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ and Debbie was soon to follow.    As a couple they have been involved in Christian ministry for the past twenty-nine years.  “When Jesus reached down and touched my life I was a true babe in Christ.  With little religious upbringing I didn’t bring anything into the equation.  I had a lot of life-changing learning to experience, and found that I had no foundation other than Christ himself on which to build.  But through the grace of God he not only saved me, but called and equipped me as well.  It has been a truly amazing journey.   I believe that God has given me the gifts of teaching, administration and leadership.  I have employed these gifts through teaching adult Sunday school, leading small groups, serving as an elder, church treasurer, and being a part of launch teams for two church plants.”  Click on the link to email Bob: bob.sievert@homeforever.org

Joe Sir: Associate Pastor of Family Ministries

Joe became a part of the FCC team in September of 2005 after serving in his hometown of Cresco, IA as a youth pastor for 7 years.

Joe grew up on a farm in beautiful Northeast Iowa where his parents still live.  He loves to fish and hunt and play sports although music is his favorite hobby.  Joe used to be in a band with his brothers that toured the Midwest when God got a hold of his heart and turned him toward teenagers, so he started volunteering in youth ministry.  His heart was always for strengthening the family which is his main role at Faith where he leads the Men’s Ministry called “BASIC”, (stands for Brothers and Soldiers in Christ). He also oversees the Children’s, Student and Women’s ministries.

Joe proposed to Shannon on Christmas Eve with a song that he wrote and they were married on his parent’s farm in June of 1991. They home-school their two incredible children, Samantha born in February of 1994 and Zachary born in January of 1997. Pete Ziolkowski:Associate Pastor of StudentMinistries                     Pete came on staff at Faith in June of 2007 as Associate Pastor of Student Ministries.  Pete met his wife  Kristy in college at UW Stout. They were neighbors in an apartment complex, and literally couldn’t avoid how God was bringing them together. They began dating in October of 2004 and were married in September of 2005 – when you know, you know!   Pete earned his undergraduate degree in psychology in 2004 and is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity at Bethel Seminary.  God began getting a hold of Pete’s heart in college.  After spending his life living for himself, for sports and for parties, Pete came to the end of himself and the foot of the cross in front of a soda machine in a park!  He struggled with depression and searched for a purpose in life but came up empty.  Then, God came up huge, and Pete has been chasing after Christ ever since.  Pete has a passion for seeing people inspired and motivated to follow Christ.  Whether that is coming to Christ in a saving way or understanding truth about God that will transform the way that people live and understand God, Pete believes that the truth of God’s Word will ignite a passion for Christ in the hearts of people that will transform the world.  This is why both he and his wife serve in CHAOS student ministries.  Pete believes that the teenage community is at a vital place for making critical life changing decisions, and what better place to see God’s Word interjected into the lives of people than when they are making the decisions that will shape the rest of their lives?   Kristy serves as a small group leader and also as a member of the music team and they are grateful to have the opportunity to serve God together in this way.  Click on the link to email Pete: pete.ziolkowski@homeforever.org

Kris has lived in New Richmond all of her life and has known her husband Neal for almost as long, since he too grew up in New Richmond.  Kris asked Jesus into her heart at a young age and it was when she was dating Neal in High School that with his encouragement, she began to take her relationship with Christ seriously and pursue Bible study and prayer.  Neal and Kris were married April 6, 1991.  They have two beautiful daughters, Lizzie, born in 1994 and Rachel, born in 1996.   Their whole family enjoys serving at Faith.  Neal helps with set up for CHAOS greeting for the KidZone Welcome Team.  Lizzie & Rachel both serve in the KidKare ministry with the 0-3 year olds.  Kris serves on the Prayer Team and with the music team for Women’s Ministries.  The Thomas family also enjoys biking, going for walks, traveling, and pretty much anything as a family.   Neal and Kris have been leading Bible studies on a regular basis for several years, and are thankful for the friendships and life change that comes from seeking God with others.  In their free time together, Neal and Kris also enjoy getting in some time for golf and traveling to NASCAR races with friends. Myrna Juhl: Publications & Visual Communications /files/Images/myrna pic2_Resized_300x369.jpg

Myrna has been attending Faith Community since March 1998 and came on staff in September 2003.  She serves as Receptionist and handles Publications & Visual Communications at Faith.  Myrna considers this position her dream job and is still in awe of God and how He shows up in her life.

Myrna grew up in Elgin, Illinois and moved to New Richmond in 1982. After years of trying to side-step God she surrendered her life to Christ in late 1991. She met her husband Mike at 3M in Stillwater, where they worked together, and they were married on June 13th, 1992.  Their daughter Danielle came along in 1996 and their son Austin rocked their world (literally) in 1998.

God really used the drama ministry at Faith to speak to Myrna and to her surprise she felt a nudge from God to give it a try.  She discovered a new passion and has been serving on the Drama Team ever since.  She also enjoys serving alongside her husband Mike on the Video Team and serving in Guest Central on Sunday mornings.

One of Myrna’s favorite things to do is sing and as one of her hobbies she has a small Karaoke setup that she uses for family get-togethers and birthday parties.   She believes that there are others, like herself, whom God has given the passion for singing but not necessarily the gift or training to be a great singer.  It brings her great joy to see people let their guard down, have fun and sing like nobody’s watching!

Myrna also enjoys cheering on her kids in soccer, football & baseball, cuddling up with Mike watching movies, reading and road trips back home to Illinois. Click on the link to email Myrna: myrna.juhl@homeforever.org

Kris Dodge: Children's Ministry Director

Kris was hired to serve as the Children's Ministry Director in November of 2008.  She began volunteering in Route 2:52 (one of the Children's Ministries within the KidZone) in 2005.  In the summer of 2008 Kris headed up the Summer Children's Program and God completely showed Himself to her through these adorable wide-eyed children and ignited a fire within her to share the gospel with these kids in a way that keeps them coming back for more!

Kris was born and raised in New Richmond and accepted Christ into her heart when she was in the 7th grade at a Carman concert!  In 1993 she met her husband, Zach (the guy with the camera) in Menomonie, WI while getting her degree in Early Childhood Education at       UW-Stout.  10 months later they were married!  They have 2 amazing Dodge-boys; Dayton, born in 1998 and Dalton, who was the 1st baby born in the year 2000 in New Richmond.

Their whole family LOVES being involved at Faith.  Zach is on the leadership team for CHAOS (Student Minsitries) and works with the Visual Arts Team.  Both Kris And Zach are a part of the Drama Team and Dayton and Dalton are active in the summer Children's Ministry and enjoy participating in the Christmas Productions.  In the Dodge's free time, they enjoy camping, attending Bible studies as a couple and getting together with family & friends around the chicken rotisserie (secret family recipe - sorry!). /files/Images/Bernie.jpgBernie Wollenberg: Music Coach

Bernie and his family moved to New Richmond in the winter of 2000.  He enjoys serving in the area of music and arts leadership.

Bernie has been involved in doing music most of his life.  As a kid, he saw his parents do a fair amount of music and it was a family expectation to learn how to play piano.  His love for piano waned in his adolescence, but he became involved with the guitar….and the rest is history.  God has been gracious to involve him in church music leadership since 1982 when he started to lead music at a camp.  Bernie enjoys being with his family.  His wife Lynne sings on one of Faith’s music teams.  Their two kids, Caitlin and Allan also enjoy music.  Being a part of the Faith family has been a positive and rewarding experience.  Seeing the team grow has been fulfilling.  Teaching students to serve on student teams has been refreshing.  God’s goodness and faithfulness have been real as the team serves the church family through music.
